Champagne and birthday cake: SlashKernel tours its new HQ!
As an exciting way to kick off the the autumn season, Slashkernel celebrated the 20 and 10-year anniversaries of Raincode and ERTMS Solutions respectively, with cake, champagne, and a tour of our new office building!
The 4-story historical building was formerly the workshop of the contemporary Belgian visual artist Jan De Cock, as well as the Brussels Art Institute. De Cock is known for his work related to production and the ways that an artist relates to the broad culturally-injected concept of Modernism and is the only living Belgian artist to have an exhibit at the MOMA in New York, which is still currently installed in the building!
Although we love the industrial look and gritty artistic flavor of the building as it is now, we plan to completely remodel the interior over the course of the next 2 years to transform the building into both a workshop and modern offices.
The new design will take advantage of the building’s massive glass skylight with front entrance leading into a bright and open atrium surrounded by 4 levels of offices.
We can’t wait to move into this unique, historical space and to start calling it home!
